Formed in Viana do Castelo, on the Northern coast of Portugal in 2004, LARKIN are by their own admission looking in the mirror and taking a journey into the private life of the mind. The inspiration for the album is to explore the illusion of permanent resolutions for their lives and look in that mirror.
Produced by Makoto (If Lucy Fell) at the Black Sheep Studios Lisbon this debut album for Mother should Know Records is evidence of the current surge of adrenalin-fuelled music coming out of Portugal. Swedish bands such as Refused, Abhinanda and Saidiwas have influenced the band but Fugazi and At The Drive-In have also made a lasting impression. The Band aims to mix the energy and power of punk rock with sonic experimentation in this debut album.
